Our Holistic Process
Review
We will establish your initial review schedule at implementation. We recognize that consistent, meaningful review meetings are essential to developing a meaningful long term relationship with our clients. This gives us the opportunity to monitor your progress toward your stated goals. It also gives us the ability to change course should your voyage take you in a new direction.
Introduction
This is a very informal meeting for both of us to get a feel for each other. We will introduce our firm to you and get an idea as to what you brought to us and what you are hoping to accomplish by working with or firm. At the end of this meeting, we should both be able to determine if our personalities and values align and if so, how we will proceed.
Base Plan Creation
After it has been decided that we will move forward, your work begins. You will gather all the documents and data that we need to begin crafting your plan. We will use this information as well as the goals you outlined previously to create a draft of your plan.
Draft Plan Review
This is the meeting where you start to develop a better sense of your financial situation. This is also the meeting where you begin to get a feeling of the level of care and thoughtfulness that we bring to our clients. We will present your plan and discuss the challenges and opportunities that the plan uncovered. We will then discuss if the alternative scenarios should be looked at. If so, we will repeat this meeting as many times as needed until we have the plan that not only emulates your vision, but is also achievable.
Plan Approval and Agreement
This step comes at the end of one of our Draft Plan Review meetings. This is the point that you begin to see with clarity your future. It is the A-Ha moment. You know what you want it to look like, and you are perhaps both excited and nervous about making it a reality.
Strategy Creation
This is the step that our team works to create the most efficient way possible for you to bring your plan to life. We will actually structure two strategies. Once illustrating how to best utilize your current portfolio and adviser. The other showing what things would look like if you join Voyage.
Strategy and Proposal Implementation
This is the point where you make the decision to engage us on an ongoing basis. By now you will have a complete sense of our abilities, our follow through, and our values. We will also clearly outline how the strategy ties into your plan. We want you to not only understand what we are presenting but why. We will also review all the fees and expenses and how we derive our compensation before you ever sign a form.
Identification of Future Steps
It is rare that everything necessary for to move forward can be accomplished at one time. So for those who have decided to engage us on a long term basis, we will outline the items that we have identified that will be accomplished at a later date. This serves as a guide to help ensure priorities outlined in the plan aren’t lost to the distractions of everyday life.
